Erin Wagler, Public Relations Manager for
SonSet Solutions, Addressed the Club

Club member Brian Smith told the club why he joined the Elkhart Rotary Club over 26 years ago.  He found membership in Elkhart Rotary a good way to give back to the community, meet some great people and enjoy weekly fun and fellowship.

The Sergeant at Arms was Stan Cohen.  Almost everyone Stan tried to fine was not in attendance this week, but he still managed to raise a respectable amount.  The money the Sergeant’s committee raises over the year is pooled into a fund and then disbursed annually to area non-profit organizations.

The speaker was Ms. Erin Wagler, PR manager for SonSet Solutions. They are an enthusiastic and committed group. They come from varied professional backgrounds, national origins, and family dynamics. Many of them are skilled in technology. Their mission is to apply their technical expertise to explain and demonstrate who Jesus Christ is, strengthen his followers, and mobilize his workers. SonSet believes that God himself has brought us together and has equipped us to work as an effective team. At SonSet Solutions we believe that each of us should be actively involved in sharing the good news of new life through Jesus Christ. Technology provides us today with an unprecedented number of ways for engaging people in conversations about who Jesus is and what he has done. Check out how we are using videos on the Internet to facilitate those conversations.

Hundreds of other organizations are also reaching out to their neighborhoods, cities, and countries with God’s message of hope. Many of them depend on technology to carry out their mission. But, they may not have their own engineer, IT specialist or troubleshooting technician. Every year, SonSet Solutions stands in the gap for more than 100 different ministries spread across the globe in dozens of countries. It is our privilege by way of technical assistance to help put feet to the visions of our ministry partners. We are equipping them with tools, information, and support services that will help them be effective. Have a look at some of our current projects by going to menu and selecting a project.

Many of the staff, at SonSet Solutions, have not always had a clear understanding of the opportunities for technologists in world missions. Today we see technology playing a key role in the effort to explain and demonstrate to people who Jesus Christ is. We invite more technologists to join us in the cause. They use technology as a bridge for enlisting the participation of more Kingdom workers.
