Sharing Service Trip to Costa Rica

In May, Elkhart Rotarians traveled to Costa Rica to assist on an international literacy project, under the Dickerson Literacy Initiatives (DLI). Several clubs in our District have been involved with this project in the past, along with our club’s Rotarian Doug Risser. The international side of DLI organization works in Costa Rica, Honduras, the Dominican Republic, and Eastern Caribbean to create sustainable literacy projects. DLI partner and collaborate with the local ministry of ducation, in country Rotary Clubs, U.S. Rotary Clubs, Peace Corps Volunteers and RPCV to carefully design and implement literacy projects that align with and support the current needs and curriculum in the host country.
