THIS MEETING WILL BE HELD OUTDOORS AT WELLFIELD BOTANIC GARDENS

Sean McCrindle has been named the new president and CEO of Bashor Children’s Home, the agency announced on Monday. A 25-year veteran at Bashor, McCrindle will leave his current role as the agency’s chief operating officer to succeed retiring CEO Don Phillips in June.
The Bashor Children’s Home board of directors held a nationwide search but ultimately decided that McCrindle was the best choice, according to a Bashor news release.

“Sean’s vast credentials are only exceeded by his unwavering passion for Bashor and our mission,” said John Wuori, chairman of the board and a member of the search committee. “He is a proven executive, has cultivated outstanding relationships with state agencies, and has earned the respect of the staff at Bashor.”

“The board enthusiastically supported the Search Committee’s recommendation, and is extremely confident that Sean will be a servant leader that will continue to transform Bashor for years to come.”

McCrindle has had every job responsibility with regard to taking care of at-risk children placed in residential care, the news release said.
Starting in 1996 as a direct care staff and case manager, in 2002 he was promoted to program manager and in 2008 to the senior program director. In 2010 he was again promoted to vice president of program operations and in 2020 became the chief operating officer, the news release said.
He has served on the Racial Justice Equity and Inclusion Steering Committee as appointed by the executive director of DCS, a legislative appointment to the Indiana Child Services oversight Committee. He is the chair of the IARCA Medicaid Workgroup and a planning member of the children’s summit team as appointed by the juvenile magistrate.

A native of Goshen, McCrindle attended Goshen High School as a two-sport athlete. After graduation, he attended Manchester College to pursue his degree in psychology. He then went on to earn his MSW at IUSB. McCrindle is a licensed clinical social worker through the association of social work boards.
