President Scott Puckett opened the meeting. Dawn Fisher led the prayer. Judge Jim Rieckhoff was Sergeant.
 
The speaker was Northern Indiana Landmarks Community Preservation Specialist, Brad Miller. They help communities save and revitalize buildings in Cass, DeKalb, Elkhart, Fulton, Kosciusko, LaGrange, La Porte, Marshall, Noble, Pulaski, St. Joseph, Starke, Steuben, White, and Whitley counties. Their Community Assistance Program helps neighborhoods improve quality-of-life, aesthetics, heritage, authenticity, sustainability and civic participation. The center can provide architectural and historical research and provide recommendations to meet modern code requirements. 
 
Indiana Landmarks have helped locally through the Elkhart Historic & Cultural Preservation Society for: The Lerner Theater, The Roosevelt Center, Havilah Beardsley House, and National Paper & Supply. Theyare currently researching how to restore the original Selmer Factory Building (next to Wellfield Botanical Gardens).
