Today we welcomed a near-total eclipse of the Sun! Our scheduled presenter was unfortunately unable to attend due to illness so we had a fun time talking about the eclipse with today's Sergeant Anthony Hunt and had an impromptu session of "Do you know our Members Trivia" with Eric Garton. Always fun learning about our fellow Rotarians through stories and tidbits they've shared. We also had a more extended announcements session including updating our running list of Rotary Event Announcements - - events sponsored by our Rotary member organizations and volunteers - - Check out the full list below!

- People over parties: Like candidates for any job, politicians should be judged on their record, character, and impact on those they serve, regardless of whether they lean left or right.
- Results over rhetoric: Voters deserve to know where candidates stand on issues that matter and how we all can make a difference.
- Patriotism over politics: Our democracy is a precious gift that must be preserved for our children and grandchildren, and we must work together, despite our differences, to protect it.
- To be heard.
- To have an equal voice.
- To choose, not be chosen by, their elected leaders.
- To have real choices between at least two candidates who will work for everyday Hoosiers.
- To not feel like they’re settling for “the least bad option” or given no choice at all.
- To be able to choose leaders who have integrity and who will work to earn and be worthy of our votes.

Tuesday, March 26, at 6 p.m. The 4th Annual Fathers Matter Forum. DJ Construction and the Community Foundation of Elkhart County have partnered on a special event. We are bringing in, nationally recognized speaker and focus of the documentary, “Undefeated”, Bill Courtney, to discuss the fatherless epidemic in our country. Bill has shown that by stepping up and using your abilities, you can make a massive impact and change the trajectory of the lives of young people right in our communities. Bill’s story is inspiring, and we would love to invite you to come hear it. Information on the event can be found in the attached pdf. Putting a dent in the fatherless epidemic is DJ’s Community Impact Purpose and we would love to have you come, attend, and bring your friends to this event. This is a free event looking to raise awareness of the fatherless epidemic not a fundraiser with a monetary expectation. Contact: Dustin Miller.
